Life Back In Provo

FAMILY!!! i want to point out that we are totally failing at this blog updating thing. Dad, you did such a good job with the beach photos and i totally loved looking at them and reading about your time in myrtle but i forgot comment and stuff so you knew i was looking at them :] so, dont worry, the pictures were appreciated!

a tiny update on life here. i am super busy! classes take up so much time. im usually on the go from like 9 until 5 so i forget to eat even though i remember to bring like fruit and stuff with me to work. its not unt
il the end of my classes that i realize i haven't eaten since breakfast! but dont worry, i'm not withering away to nothing.

tomorrow i start my first day of teaching pe in the elementary school! I'm teaching at Art City Elementary in Springville, UT which is just like 20 min south of Provo. I'll be teaching first graders gym every we
dnesday afternoon for the next 5 weeks. I'm excited to get in the school and start teaching (make sure i'm actually in the right major...) and just to be around kids! but im nervous about messing up or totally failing and realizing i suck at teaching. hopefully all will go well. I will be sure to let you know. we are having another set of byu students video tape our teaching (im paired w another girl so we split the lesson) so we have to like analyze our teaching and stuff. that should be fun...needless to say, i'm nervous. i just keep telling myself that they are little 6 year olds and that its gym class so i can't really mess them up in my 30 minutes with them :] i gotta remember to enjoy it!

today president monson came and spoke at the marriott center devotional. it was really cool. it is always cool when you get to hear the prophet speak in person. even being in a giant stadium, far away from him you can feel his amazing spirit. it is so cool when he walks in, everyone immediately becomes silent and stands. i love that feeling. today some students started an improptu singing of "we thank thee oh god for a prophet". the spirit was really cool. His talk was also really great, he kind of just recapped all the prophets from his lifetime before him. It was cool to hear some first hand stories, and he also gave us odd tid-bits about each of them: their favorite song, favorite food, favorite quote and the endearing quality they would want us to follow from their lives. It made them feel more like real people to me. Bryan made a cool point when he was talking; she asked me "do you think he discussed with those prophets what they would have wanted to share with us?" I hadn't thought of it, but President Monson totally could have had the help of all those past prophets in writing his talk for today. cool stuff. you should watch it if you get a chance (click here), he's a pretty funny guy.

i love you guys and hope we can do a better job of updating! i miss you all so much and want to kiss your faces and hug you lots!!! xooxox love I
